About me
My full name is Heru Sukoco and you can call me "Heru". I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 13rd, 19xx. I received BSc degree in computer science and MEng degree in electrical engineering from the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in 1999 and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2005, respectively. I am interested in net-centric computing areas such as network design, network and database programming, network analysis and performance, network simulation, high speed computing, and wireless and mobile technology. Now, I am studying as Ph.D student in Department of Informatics, Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan.
Heru joined the Department of Computer Science in Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia in February 1999 after four and a half years as a Bachelor student (S1). Now, my research focuses on Internet technology, network measurement, performance and management, and network virtualization, with the larger goal of making computer networks easier and more reliable to support company business process and also making networks easier to design, understand, and manage.
Heru is an author of the book IT Technology for Elementary School used as one of computer technology text book in Indonesia. Heru served as a lecturer of Department of Computer Science, Head of Net Centric Computing (NCC) Laboratory, and Vice Head of Directorate of Communication and Information System, IPB from 2001 to now, 2006 to 2009, and 2004 to 2009, respectively.
