Undergraduate Program of Forest Products Technology

Bogor Agricultural University has implemented major-minor curriculum system as competence–based curricula since 2005. This curriculum system is intended to provide student with a core competency through major courses and a supporting competency through minor or supporting courses.

The undergraduate program of DoFP intensively develops and takes advantages of the field of forest product science and technology to improve and create an up to date wood processing technology. It offers minors in quality improvement of forest products, forest product industry, and timber engineering.

The undergraduate program of forest products technology is designed to graduate wood technologist that is competent in science, technology, management, and economy related to raw material preparation and processing technology of the industry of forest products utilization based on sustainable forest management. 

Postgraduate Program of Forest Products Science and Technology

Postgraduate program of Forest Product Science and Technology offers major in Forest Products Science and Technology for master program and two majors for doctorate programs, i.e. Fiber and Composite Technology and Engineering and Improvement of Forest Products Quality. These majors study the application of biological, chemical, engineering and physical principles to the efficient and effective production of high quality products from wood and non-wood forest products based on sustainable forest management principles.

The programs are designed to graduate Master and Doctor with excellent ability in conducting research on forest products related field. The student intake of these programs is around 10 students annually. The alumnae mostly work in universities and research centers spread out in all provinces of Indonesia.
