As you may know well that a lecturer at a university in Indonesia is obliged to undertake Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi, which means three kind of works such as teaching, research and extension, and plus supporting activities. This website informs you about my activities and achievements as an a academician working at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB).

I was graduated from this university in 1993, and from 1995 was appointed as an instructor. I was granted master and doctor degrees by the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciencies, University of Tokyo in 1990 and 1993 with my speciality in Soil Physics and Hydrology. I was promoted as full professor in 2004, an so far have been supervised more than 70 undergraduate and graduate students, published more than 100 articles in proceedings and 45 in scientific journals, and attended more than 110 national and international scientific meetings, and innovated 7 technologies registered for patent. My common interest is to develop theory, model and technology which have direct benefits for the improvement of water resources management in agricultures as well as aquacultures. I am now with a groups of students and scientists are undertaking research topics on water balance in plot and watershed scales, water flow and solute transports in soils, micro-irrigation with a special attention to pitcher irrigation/fertigation system, system of rice intensification, and closed water recirculation for aquacultures.
